It's nearly midnite. Ricky has had about 4 hours of sleep in the last two days due to the fact that he had to work all night last night and decided it would be better if he just didn't go to sleep Thursday night. Why we are still awake, makes no sense...We are foolish people... You following me? Yeah, me neither...
But my silly children are all sleeping in the basement. Well, I say all, the baby is in her crib (baby? She'll be two next month! And yes, she'll be in her crib until she figures out how to put the rails down, or jumps out, whichever comes first).
They are silly because last night they tried to sleep in the basement but scared themselves silly until they ran upstairs and slept on the floor in their rooms. Apparently big G thought the pipes had lights on them so she scared little Em and convinced her to go upstairs. I do not force them to sleep in the basement, they love it. Usually... but Grandma and Grandpa came today for the night and so sleeping in the basement wasn't really an option, it was a necessity...
So the lights are out and I hear the silly giggling... I love children's giggles... A few of mine have some really cute giggle sounds... I of course was getting in the freezer for some ice cream.... ahhhh, my greatest weakness... and I came across those goofy glow things that my children are convinced if you keep them in the freezer they'll keep glowing for eternity... haha...
Well, I complained about them and Ricky said, just throw them out, 'I'm taking the trash out in a minute' but I got a better idea... I thought I would take them downstairs...
Once I got down there, I decided it would be more fun to scare them with the glow sticks... There were about 10 of them and I pitched them into the darkness and the squeals of laughter and fright made my night... it was fun...
Some days are just like that....fun...
God bless you and have a very blessed weekend...
I love moments like that! I can remember as a child an adult doing something like that and it making everyone's day (or night in this case).
