I know I posted this on fb-but some of my "fans" don't have fb pages, so here is the grand finale!
Remember earlier posts? This is what I had started with?
Remember how my neighbors all came over with their wheelbarrows and shovels and helped us move a truckload of dirt over to this spot?
Remember how Ricky and I were worried about using stones, but we went for it anyway and it actually came out pretty cool. And of course our Mary Tree. (rose of sharon)
Last weekend I went (and Ricky, too) to Home Depot for a total of three times for me, and twice for him to FINALLY complete the planting process. I have several very pretty flowering bushes, that are deer resistant, even though I have now heard about something I could possibly try on the plants that are not deer resistant, but I have heard that if the deer are hungry, it won't matter anyway... they'll eat whatever.
Yesterday I went to noon Mass at our Church and Ricky and two co-workers got a truckload of mulch ($15 dollars from one of the cities here!!!) and spread it out for me. It looks incredible!!
SO! Part one is complete. I say that because there is still a huge gap between the front porch and drive way where they haven't filled it with dirt yet... Must get on the phone for that one... apparently unless I bug the ever lovin' baggeebas (my word) out of this builder, they don't respond! Funny thing... I also say part one, because as most of you who own homes know, is it ever really complete? Nah...
Have a GREAT Thursday!
