One week ago was my last blog? Was it really? I do apologize to my loyal readers who either get a kick out of me or would like to kick me... (remember, it's my blog and I'll write what I want to, write what I want to...) Sorry.
Anyway-it's 11:04 pm. I'm listening to EWTN radio (I LOVE the north) and Fr. Benedict Groschel is praying the rosary. What a peace filled voice he has. I could almost fall asleep except that Ricky is out of town for the week so I'm wired it being the first night he's gone...I don't know why I'm like that. But to get back to listening to the Rosary. Fr. Benedict said the joyful mysteries are a perfect way to see Jesus through Mary's eyes. What a fantastic thought. I just love our Blessed Mother. She's our mother you know. Oh yes. Deny it you might, but she's your mother as much as she's mine. The Divinity of Christ proves that. God the father, God the son. Mary the mother. And what a wonderful mother she is. She is always pointing us to her Son. Her good and gracious Son.
Tomorrow I have a "new" friend coming over. She is a wonderful person, who because the priest at our church called and asked a favor of her, willingly called little ole me and invited Ricky and I to a couples prayer group she has started up once a month. I have a great parish, with a very in tuned pastor. I was at confession and just had the best confession, even I bawled like a baby, (really, sometimes those are the best ones, the purest ones, where I feel so cleansed and forgiven!) My very sweet pastor told me to call him on Monday and so I did, and he asked if he could give my "new" friend my number to call me and she did call me!
Here is the best part-not only is she very devout in her faith, but she has LOTS of children, too. And I mean LOTS! She has two more than me!! (seven if you can't do the math!)
I am looking forward to getting to know her and her family more tomorrow.
I hope you are having a good week so far. I know it's only Monday, but pray for a peace filled week, for me and you! I will do the same!
God bless.
