It's Columbus Day. A day normally that I get excited about because Ricky is off and we have a three day weekend. But not so much for this weekend. I believe he was at the Grand Tetons and Yellowstone National Park this weekend. Poor guy. Looking at all those awesome sites, hiking, seeing elk, moose, and other wildlife and I get to be here all weekend by myself with the kids...
I'm not bitter.
No.
Not one bit.
But an interesting fact. Four years ago, this past weekend (Columbus Day weekend,) there was a snow storm that dumped two feet of snow on WNY. It did all kinds of damage because the trees still had leaves, so trees fell, knocked power lines down and people were without power for quite some time. The gentleman I spoke with yesterday said they had no power for 8 days.... wow! Kinda reminded me our Arkansas ice storm in January 2009....Funny thing, Ricky was out of town then, too... hmmmm....
But I'm not bitter.
